For the Strawberry Cake Layers:
- 1 box strawberry cake mix plus ingredients specified on the package
For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 16 oz 450g cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup 240ml sour cream
- 1/4 cup 60ml heavy cream
- For the Frosting:
- 1 cup 240ml heavy whipping cream
- 8 oz 225g cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup 125g powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Assembly:
- 1 cup 150g fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9-inch (23cm) springform pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar and mix until well combined.
